About this case study

An independent case study by Town Squared Strategies (Town2), a strategic communications firm working in complex stakeholder environments.

Why Formula 1

The 2026 rules debate is a live example of a familiar problem: an organisation whose most credible voices are also its loudest critics. We used it to show how a transparent, reproducible read of the public record can support communications advice.

Independence

This case study was not commissioned by, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, Formula 1, Formula One Management, Liberty Media, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), any team, power unit manufacturer or driver. Names are used only to identify the people and organisations discussed. No logos, liveries or broadcast images are used. All charts are original.

Layers

The analysis describes the public record and states its confidence. Recommendations appear only in the clearly labelled "Town2 perspective" section of the case study.
